1. Introduction
Sri Venkateshwara University (SVUS), Sikkim, is committed to providing accessible, flexible, and industry-integrated higher education through its Work Oriented Programmes. The admission process is designed to ensure transparency, fairness, equal opportunity, and compliance with the University Grants Commission (UGC), applicable statutory authorities, University Ordinances, and the academic regulations of the University.
This Admission Policy applies to all Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated, Professional, Vocational, Skill Development, and Research Programmes offered under the Work Oriented Programmes.
2. Admission Principles
Admissions shall be conducted based on the following principles:

5. Application Process

Incomplete applications may not be processed.

7. Admission Process

8. Verification of Documents
The University shall verify all submitted documents.
If any document is found to be:
- False,
- Forged,
- Fabricated,
- Misleading,
- Incomplete,
the admission may be cancelled at any stage without prior notice, and the University may initiate appropriate legal or disciplinary action.
9. Industry-Sponsored and Employer-Supported Candidates
Candidates sponsored by employers, industries, training organisations, or institutions must submit sponsorship or employer authorization documents where applicable.
The sponsoring organisation shall not influence the University's academic evaluation, examination process, or award of qualifications.
10. Fee Payment
- Admission shall be confirmed only after payment of the prescribed fees.
- Fees must be paid through official University payment channels.
- Fee receipts should be retained for future reference.
- Fees shall be governed by the University's Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Admission Cancellation
The University reserves the right to cancel admission if:
- Eligibility criteria are not fulfilled.
- Documents are found to be false or fraudulent.
- Required fees remain unpaid.
- The applicant provides misleading information.
- The applicant violates University rules or admission guidelines.
Cancellation of admission shall be at the sole discretion of the University.
12. Right to Refuse Admission
Sri Venkateshwara University reserves the right to refuse admission to any applicant without assigning any reason where such refusal is considered necessary in accordance with University regulations, statutory requirements, or administrative decisions.
13. Reservation Policy
Reservation of seats, if applicable, shall be implemented in accordance with the applicable Government of India, State Government, University, or statutory authority guidelines.
Applicants claiming reservation benefits must produce valid supporting documents.
